Ulla Välk is an artist and an illustrator currently based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands where she works analogue using traditional mediums — up until fairly recently mostly pen and ink and watercolor on paper, and now also acrylic on canvas.
In addition to making art, she also pursues a questionable career as a personal assistant to her increasingly bigger small human, their ginger cat and a small collection of canine companion lodgers.
Children’s illustration holds a special place in her heart as it allows to combine her love for nature, silly kids, and fantastic storytelling.
