In this new ongoing series of acrylics on canvas I am recreating snapshots captured in real life just before something in the scene shifted. The main character is the newfound temporary relationship between the cat and the space he occupies.
By using washes and layering acrylic paint to slowly construct the mood in the scenes I want the viewer to feel the quiet and stillness in the sometimes almost comical and other times accidentally beautiful moments of him looking for connection.
The “cone of shame” is also a way of exploring imposter syndrome or the feeling of not quite being able to do something or be something that you’re supposed to be.
